I was searching online to buy a new car due to unfortunate circumstances with the vehicle I currently had. I found a vehicle that I didn’t realize wouldn’t be in stock for over a month and my situation was kind of an emergency. Initially, I went in to get a new Prius, but there was very limited supply and the models that were in stock would work, but we’re not exactly the best fit for me. When I showed up at the dealership, Bryce came up to me and introduced himself and asked me if there was anything he could do to help. I told him my situation and found out the car that I looked at online wouldn’t be in stock for a month or so. We explored the Prius’s that were on the lot and eventually came upon the brand new Toyota Camry’s. He showed me the comparable features and we took the car for a test drive. The Camry checked all the boxes for me and had more space that I’m Prius and even though it kind of doesn’t matter is definitely more stylish. It didn’t take long, but I was convinced the Camry was the better choice for me. The rest of the team at Emerson Toyota helped get me in the car and even delivered the car to me where I had to return the rental car. I was kind of weary of car salesman based on my prior experience however, Bryce was very transparent about any of the questions that I had. He was very personable. I was even kind of skeptical regarding a feature he told me about. I asked how the traffic signs got displayed on the dashboard to which he replied there was a camera that reads them as I was driving. In my head I went along with it, but when I left, I googled it and he was absolutely right it is a new technology and he wasn’t playing around with me. If I had to buy another new car between the reputation that Toyota carries and my experience at Emerson, I would definitely return there for another vehicle. I had a great experience buying a car there and I can imagine anybody else would just the same.

Recently purchased a Rav4 from Emerson and definitely in love with it! Brand new 2025, fresh off the truck with plenty of features and creature comforts. I had the pleasure of working with Bryce H. He helped me find just the right fit for my needs. I took my time, had lots of questions/requests, but he was patient and never pushy about getting the sale. Once I finally made my decision, Bryce walked me through all the features and assisted me in setting up the Toyota app. Very friendly and helpful from start to finish. I would gladly purchase a car with him again after my experience. Very happy I could buy from a local/family owned dealer with knowledgeable salespeople. I am super pleased with the whole experience of buying a car from Emerson Toyota. The staff there are very friendly super helpful and show a personal interest in each person that walks through their doors. They did not exhibit any insincere sales pitch or pressure you read about when dealing with car salespersons on the internet. They very patiently answered all my questions and concerns. I want to thank three persons: Tiana, Mary, and especially Dan which was the main person I dealt with. He made some courtesy calls just to let me know what was going on when my new car was delayed a few days. When it arrived he personally picked me up the distance of 25 minutes to my home.Dan took as much time as I needed to go over the car, and reassured me that I could return anytime if I had a question on any of the features. In fact just today he called just to see how I like the car after one week's purchase and told me anytime I could come in for questions. Now that is service. I have five friends that have dealt with Dan and I'm sure they would agree with everything I wrote. I would not hesitate if I needed another car to go back to Emerson Toyota. I felt like I was an old friend when I picked up my car. That's the feeling I had. I have to giggle at myself because this sounds like a sales pitch to me. But it's really how I feel and I'm so pleased with the service and the purchase.

I had an excellent experience with Emerson for my recent Highlander purchase. I initially had put a deposit down at another dealership but after feeling like I was getting the run around, I reached out to Emerson just to see what they said. John was incredibly professional and efficient, laying out the process, what they had available, and how they could help. He was so helpful and easy to work with that I cancelled my deposit at the other dealership and moved forward with my purchase from Emerson. From finding me the car I wanted to walking me through the features to entertaining my wild toddlers with their awesome Kids Corner, my experience was top notch. Special shout out (again!) to John for making an often stressful process fun and easy. Emerson is a 6/5 for me!

I went to Emerson after doing some online research for a new truck and after visiting a much larger Toyota dealership. The moment I entered the door I was greeted by someone friendly in the most non confrontational way possible. The facility was clean and welcoming. I looked at a truck for about 10 minutes. I got some numbers and left. I went back the next day and after taking another quick look decided to buy it. It was an extremely stress free experience. I asked to have the vehicle delivered to my house and they were very accommodating. The other dealership I went to was dirty, they tried hard to pressure me into something more than I needed, and they tried to get me to finance the vehicle over a long period for horrible terms. My 50k truck at Emerson was going to cost 70k at the other place under their financing terms. I highly recommended Emerson.

I saw Emerson Toyota’s internet special for a RAV4 xle. I spoke to John and tried it out. John was easy to work with and no pressure. Nick allowed what I was looking for in a trade. I negotiated a little and happy with the outcome. Mary, finance department, was very pleasant and took her time explaining everything. I chose to pick up the RAV4 the next morning. The car was already and parked in front waiting for me. John came right out. He was exceptional in explaining everything about the car and CarPlay. He’s very knowledgeable. I am very pleased with Emerson and happy to be at their dealership.

Super honest) and good at what they do: we drove away with the car we wanted, on budget and on time. Zero regrets. Also of note: I saw them working with some “new” Mainers - and it was clear that there was mutual respect and kindness - in other words, they treat everyone equally. Seems like common sense, but unfortunately, not every business in Maine approaches things this way. This dealership deserves your business!

My husband and I had an awesome experience at this dealership. I emailed them ahead of time to discuss pricing and was given a well balanced quote within minutes. We'd been shopping at other local Toyota dealers in Portland and had some questionable situations that really put us off from the whole experience, so we were going in with low expectations, but at least we had pricing info to work with. We pulled up to the lot and Britny opened the door and said, "Welcome to Toyota!" with a big smile. Since we knew exactly what we wanted, Brtiny brought the car around right away and we went for a test drive. She was knowledgeable, listened well and went through all of the car specs one by one. All of our questions were answered and info was double checked. Caroline checked us out during the final sale. Couldn't have been a more pleasant, clear exchange. She had all the payment details up on a screen for us to read over. Everyone we met was polite and professional. We were never pressured into extra packages or services, just informed and asked about our preferences. This dealership is out of my way, an hour from home, but I will definitely come back for maintenance and repeat business.

Well, I was in the market for a new vehicle. There were a few models I was looking at due to the fact that I travel 45 minutes to work 4 days a week. What a time to be alive and what a time to be buying a car. My wife and I went to Emerson Toyota in April to look for a Rav 4 for her and we were connected with the salesman Dan G who was right up front with us on the process of buying a vehicle in 2022. After talking to Dan and the GM Nick we ended up leaving with 2 new vehicles with the offered they quoted on our tradeins. Dan reached out to us throughout the time we were waiting for the vehicles (he anticipated 3 months but only took 2) to check in. At the time of purchase Nick honored the quotes he gave us in April with no questions asked. The checkout/finance process was ridiculously smooth and easy. Mary put 0 pressure on my wife and me to purchase the "add ons" unlike other dealerships I have gone to. They didn’t gouge me on price, and were able to get some upgrades to the car done despite nearly no notice on its delivery before having it ready just a few days after it came. We worked with Caroline Emerson and the whole experience was great - they didn't have the car we wanted but got it in in the next allotment. Ordering, downpayment, third party financing was all a breeze and they followed up a few times to make things even easier- they even double-checked things for us like where to get third party add-on parts and if there was a federal rebate for the car we wanted.

The salesmen and their management is the view into any company as you purchase a product. My experience with Mike Gagne, our salesman, his manager and Jared Jones have been exceptional. They're straightforward, honest people. We were able to get a Toyota Highlander on order with no hassles, no games, and were able to do all of it over the phone and email. The Mike and his manager even update you on the delivery of your automobile without calling. I'm old sorry to say, I have been buying cars for years and this is by far the best experience I have had purchasing an automobile. If you live in Maine it's well worth checking this dealership out. You will not be unhappy. I give them a 10 out of 10 rating for integrity, customer service and telling the truth!
